Kelsey House to reopen soon

Amidst lots of recent closures, finally some good news! Kelsey House, temporarily closed due to the Travelodge building works taking much, much longer than expected, have announced on their website that they'll be reopening soon.

From the site:

Kelsey House is excited to announce our return to Beckenham high street!

After a year of the building works & delays above our heads, we’ve finally got our feet back in the door, and are excited to return, bigger & better than ever, and with a brand new look!

For more information, including details on the official launch date & events, keep your eyes peeled to our social media channels where we’ll be delivering regular updates on our progress.

They're also looking for new people to work there, so check out their website for details.

The building works above them were due to finish in November 2023, then were delayed until March 2024, and now look to be completed soon. I hope they've been compensated for this ridiculous delay, that is outrageous.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that Kelsey House has been very much missed this past year, and I'm absolutely delighted to hear that it'll be back soon. See you down there!

KebabYe finally closed

After months of speculation, and what looked like two costly refurbishments, KebabYe has permanently closed. The letters outside have been removed, and the contents of the shop are being removed at the moment. No word yet on if anything will take its place, but it looks like whatever troubles the shop was going through have been insurmountable.

Another sad loss to the Beckenham community.
